Tastes pretty good

I had been using Shan Masala's haleem for a long time and got tired of eating the same thing all the time so I gave this a try. I'm happy with this masala mix and will buy it again.
I didnt have a pressure cooker so I didnt follow the recipe closely but I did my best. The end result was very good in my opinion and a welcome change from Shan Masala's haleem mix. I used Shan's Daal mix for the haleem while this Banne Nawab (BN) recipe asks for Whole wheat (also called Wheatberries; hard or soft kind, they did not specify). I will try the whole wheat next time if I can. It should be ok with both. I feel BN's amount of Masala is just right, while for Shan you have to use only a portion of the masala because its too much and their directions are not detailed. I feel BN really pays attention to the recipe judging by the care they use to write the directions. The box contains one small packet of masala. The ingredients are simple to find. There are some additional steps in this recipe compared to Shan but its not too difficult. Try it and you might like it. One thing I did do is reduce the amount of minced green chillies. Use about 4 teaspoons of minced green chilli and add another in the end if you feel its not enough.
I'm excited to try the other 3 BN mixes that I ordered.
Next I will ask my mother for her own version of haleem to see if I can succeed with her recipe.
